Description

An interesting little lure, the Jackson Zurubiki Goby is a small profile sinking lure design to be worked along the bottom very much like its cousin, the famous Bottom Magic Lure. A tungsten ball located on the chin of the lure ensures the Zurubiki Goby sits on an angle when it moves along the bottom to resemble a bottom-feeding fish, and it also allows the rear hook to sit up off the ground for a more snag resistant presentation. Another key feature of the Jackson Zurubiki Goby Lure is the hook location on the top side of the lure rather than the bottom, which again adds to the snag resistance and sets the lure even further apart from others in the market.

Originally designed for trout fishing in Japan - like many other Jackson lures that have overachieved in Australian conditions - the Zurubiki Goby will surely work on Australian trout, plus a host of other Aussie estuary species like bream, bass, whiting, and more.

Note: the Jackson Zurubiki Goby Lure comes pre-rigged with 2 x #6 barbless single hooks. They're barbless single hooks because in Japan they have rules that do not allow barbs on hooks in certain areas when fishing for trout. If you would like to swap these out for singles with barbs on them (which makes landing fish a lot easier), the exact size and style (but slightly heavier duty, which is great) are the Shinto Pro Inline Single Matte Tin Hooks in size #8 - $6.99 for a 10pk.

Features:

  • Tungsten chin weight sits the lure on an angle for snag resistance and a bottom-feeding presentation
  • Middle hook located on the top of the lure for extra snag resistance
  • Sinking lure
  • 4.5g/45mm
  • Rigged with 2 x #6 barbless single hooks
