Description
If you really want to experiment and change things up, the Jackson Dart Magic is the lure for you! This little unique lure darts around erratically - as the name suggests - and can be worked off the bottom to imitate a dying/injured baitfish quite well.
Bream, flathead, trevally, trout and tailor are among the species caught in both estuaries and in the saltwater, and I'm sure there would be other species that would take a liking to the Dart Magic.
The bigger 5g Dart Magic model is fitted with a small treble, and the best method of using these has been casting them into any sort of hot spots like structure, up on the flats on high tide, deeper holes, and the gutters along the beach. Then let the lure sink to the bottom, give a short sharp twitch to make it dart off the bottom, and then sink back down.
The 3g version is built for the freshwater. Originally designed for trout in streams and still water, these lures can also be used effectively for bass in skinny waters and deeper holes too. The same action as above is perfect (sinking and twitching off the bottom), and in running streams simply twitch it around and the lure will do the work for you.
