The crew from Fisho’s Tackle World Hervey Bay recently returned from their fifth annual offshore adventure, spending 10 days aboard Big Cat Reality Charters chasing serious fish across Saumarez and Swains Reef.

Fishing Saumarez and the Swains
The itinerary was split between two iconic reef systems:
- 3 days at Saumarez Reef
- 3 days at Swains Reef
Despite rough conditions, the team powered through. When the tenders could launch, the bite was red hot.
Every Angler Landed a Doggie
Every fisho on board landed a Dogtooth Tuna. The biggest went 40.85kg, with other notable catches at 31kg and 21kg. These fish were caught jigging, trolling and on topwater gear, pushing both tackle and angler limits.
