Description

The Jackson Gallop Assist jigs are a versatile solid metal lure that can be either casted and retrieved, or jigged.

When jigging any metals, most of the time the effectiveness of the lure correlates with the action of it on the drop. The Gallop Assist metals have great fluttering action on the fall due to the centre of gravity being positioned slight behind the centre of the lure, and the shape of the lure itself. It's a really effective jig for snapper and other reef species and has the perfect baitfish profile for this type of fishing.

Due to their shape and weight, the Jackson Gallop Assist lure cast a mile, which is really handy when fishing off the beach or rocks. A straight medium to fast paced retrieve with these lures has proved extremely effective and also a long sweeping action for species like salmon, tailor and tuna.

The fluttering style of this metal lure is created by placing the center of gravity slightly behind center. The reflective surface of these lures, along with it's action is sure to excite the fish. This type of lure will appeal to predators from the moment of splashdown. It will continue to invite the fish right up to the moment of hook-up. To further increase your hook-up rate Jackson has added an assist hook, so you don't miss a second chance. An ideal lure for dropping beside reefs for Snapper. You can even cast and retrieve for other larger species.

The Gallop Assist comes in 4 sizes: 20g, (60mm), 30g (70mm), 40g (78mm) and 60g (90mm).
